THROTTLEIN is an online marketplace for motorcycle helmets, riding gear, parts, and accessories, owned and operated by Noseberry Private Limited ("THROTTLEIN", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal data when you use our website and services. It is aligned with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made under it.

Data we collect — buyers

Identity & contact — name, email, phone number, password.
Order & delivery — shipping/billing address, items purchased, order history.
Payment — handled by our payment partner (Razorpay). We do not store your full card number, UPI PIN, or banking credentials.
Device & usage — IP address, device/browser type, pages viewed, and searches, collected via cookies and similar technologies.

Data we collect — sellers

Business details — legal/trade name, business address, contact person.
Tax & compliance — GSTIN and related tax information.
KYC — identity and business verification documents required to onboard.
Settlement — bank account details used to pay you.

How we use your data

Create and manage your account.
Process orders, payments, shipping, returns, refunds, and seller settlements.
Hand off delivery details to our logistics partner to fulfil orders.
Verify seller identity, prevent fraud, and keep the marketplace safe.
Communicate order updates, support responses, and (with consent) offers.
Improve our products and services, and comply with legal obligations.

THROTTLEIN is a marketplace, so some sharing is necessary to fulfil an order:

Sellers receive the buyer information needed to pack and dispatch the order (such as name and delivery address). Sellers are independent third parties responsible for their own use of that data.
Logistics partners (e.g. our shipping aggregator, Shiprocket) receive delivery details to ship and track parcels.
Payment partner processes transactions; card/UPI data is handled by the gateway, not by THROTTLEIN.
Service providers who help us run the platform (hosting, analytics, communications), under confidentiality obligations.
Legal/regulatory authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and users.

We do not sell your personal data.

Cookies & tracking

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart, measure traffic, and improve the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work without them.

Data security

We follow reasonable security practices and procedures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls, consistent with Section 43A of the IT Act. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements — after which it is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights as a Data Principal

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

Access a summary of the personal data we process about you.
Correction, completion, and updating of inaccurate or incomplete data.
Erasure of your personal data when it is no longer needed for the stated purpose.
Withdraw consent at any time (withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out).
Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.
Grievance redressal through our Grievance Officer (see below).

Children's data

THROTTLEIN is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children; where applicable, processing requires verifiable parental consent.

Cross-border transfers

Where data is stored or processed outside India by our service providers, we take steps to ensure it is protected in line with applicable law.

Changes & governing law

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision. This policy is governed by the laws of India, with jurisdiction in the courts of Gautam Budh Nagar (Greater Noida), Uttar Pradesh, India.
